Lancashire Key Messages Data entry onto the DCSF site https://www.onetoonetuitiondata.dcsf.gov.uk/ https://www.onetoonetuitiondata.dcsf.gov.uk/ Getting going on the allocation for this year……..only 48 days and counting until Easter! Support is there if you need it. Considering the needs of scaling up, in particular alternative models of tuition delivery Ensuring quality tuition is delivered. Support is there if you need it. Tuition can contribute to: School Targets: –e.g. Narrowing the Gap, Standards, Progress Other targets with longer term impact –e.g. NEETs, attendance, value for money

Spring Milestones Group into Key Stages Examine your audit document for Spring Raise an issue that is most concerning you for the group to resolve [The Group Leader will note these for publication on the website]

Tutored pupils keep up The final report of Making Good Progress found tuition had a positive impact on pupil progress. In particular:  Tutored pupils with the lowest KS1 results outperformed their peers at KS2  In reading, pupils progressed in line with their peers – a significant achievement given they were selected for tuition because they were stuck in their learning  75% teachers surveyed confirmed the impact of tuition on pupil progression

Measuring Impact Your tutors have had generic training and you can see what this comprises in detail on the One to One Website under ‘Training.’ You have 4 resources that they have been advised to use. Watch the Teachers’ TV video extracts on tuition stages in schoolTeachers’ TV

Group Work: ‘School leadership do not see the need to QA delivery of tuition nor see the potential for wider impact across the school’ In your groups discuss and design protocols for measuring impact of tuition. Consider before, during and after tuition. Make it SMART; its your time! Feedback to arrive at a model to use.
