UNIT 1 PERIOD STUDY FROM 2015 ASSESSMENT OF THE PERIOD STUDY Answer a choice, in TWO sections, of 2 from 4 open ended essays a more challenging assessment structure than current; showing clear progression from GCSE and set at the standard that should be expected at the end of the first year of an A level course; focussed on all of the criteria in the Assessment; whole of objective 1 – not elements of it as before; requires a debate and substantiated judgement – these are not YES / NO essays
