Future Families – A Three tiered Approach Bounce & Rhyme (0 – 3 years) Help improve children’s literacy, numeracy, and communication skills Build vocabulary and language acquisition Assist understanding of child development Promote parenting skills and prevent social isolation of parents

Future Families – A Three tiered Approach Toddlers Tales (3 – 5 years) Same intended outcomes as Bounce & Rhyme, but targeted at older age group Incorporates physical activity to address growing concerns around childhood obesity and inactive lifestyles

Context Child population in Glasgow (i.e. those residents aged 15 years and under) is 97,236 – representing 16.4% of the city’s total population 28,251 children are aged 0-3 years (i.e. 29.1% of the total child population) 12,382 are aged 4-5 years (12.7%) 38.4% of Glasgow’s child population is considered ‘vulnerable’
