4 How much rain does the Amazon Rainforest get?  The rainforest gets about 9ft of rain each year  Texas gets about 1ft of rain each year

8 The Jaguar  The name “jaguar” comes from the South American Indian word "yaguara."  They live in dense forests and swamps with lots of water

9 The Black Caiman Crocodile  Live in slow-moving rivers; backwaters of rivers, lakes, ponds, swamps  The largest recorded size is 19 feet for a male Black Caiman, the average is 10-14 feet.

10 The Squirrel Monkey  Eats fruit, insects, flowers, nectar  Lives in the tropical rainforest and tropical dry forest

11 The Strawberry Poison Frog  Eats flightless fruit flies and 1/8 inch crickets and termites  Size is 1.25 inches

12 The Amazon River  The Amazon River travels through the countries of Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia  The Amazon River stretches for more than 4,000 miles
