7 7 General Objectives the main objective of WASH Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) is: To guide the action of The Government of Ghana and its partners in a concerted effort to deploy comprehensive strategies in response to WASH in emergency situations.

8 8 The specific objectives of WASH Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan are: 1.To provide a reference document to guide WASH interventions before, during and after emergencies. 2.To set standards for preventive practices of emergencies through periodic simulation exercises. 3.To raise public awareness on the realities of emergencies and practice prevention and control mechanism. 4.To integrate WASH risk reduction measures in all disaster response plans or situation. 5.To adopt appropriate technology for WASH in Emergency response 6.To provide adequate levels of commodities and logistics prior to emergency response situation.
