Meanwhile the mysterious Willy Wonka after years of hiding has opens his factory to five children. But the only way in is to find a golden ticket inside any ordinary wonka bar. And just like any other child Charlie dreams of finding the golden ticket and going into that mysterious factory, unfortunately Charlie’s family barley has enough money to supply a good amount of food for themselves and Charlie’s only way to even taste a Wonka Bar is on his birthday. 12 Violet Beaureguard Violet Beauregard is the third of the five children to find one of Willy Wonka’s exclusive golden tickets, and the second to be kicked off the tour. She exhibits a more competitive spirit of the four other winners, especially in the recreation movie in which her ambitious behaviour is expanded to include her participation in sports and martial arts. Violet is also a competitive gum chewer but when she heard about the golden tickets she switches her habit to Wonka Bars and in the one version she calls her mum, Mother but in the original she calls her mum Ma.

13 Augustus Gloop Augustus Gloop is a obese overeater who is the first of five to find one of Wonka’s golden tickets and win a trip to Willy Wonka’s factory, and is the first to be expelled from the tour for not being careful. Both versions show him as being German.

14 Mike Teevee Mike Teevee is as his name says a violence obsessed and anger driven television obsessed boy, who is never away from his television set. Before the tour through Willy Wonka’s factory his parents admit that they think that television was a good choice for raising a child, as they believed they could always keep track of him and lay his food right down by the T.V. He is the fourth person to find a golden ticket, and also the fourth to be expelled from the tour.

15 Veruca Salt In each version Veruca is portrayed as a immature spoilt brat, whose idiotic parents treat her like a princess and give her anything she wants, no matter how ridiculous the price or how outrageous the item is. In the book she is described as the daughter of rich parents and in the new version she is described as the heiress to the Salt nut fourtune. When Veruca doesn’t get what she wants immediately, she shouts, kicks, stomps, jump up and down and takes extreme measures to until she has her way. Before the tour to Willy Wonka’s factory, Veruca’s parents (especially her father) seem to view her as a sweet, innocent young lady, however, after being ambushed and dirtied in the factory. Her parents shift towards a more strict approach to raising her. Veruca is always upset when she dose not get her way. The second film she smiles at everyone when she asks for things in order to get what she wants.

20 The parents of Matilda Wormwood have no interest in their daughter
The parents of Matilda Wormwood have no interest in their daughter. Her father Mr. Wormwood runs a used car business, but cheats his customers. Mrs Wormwood watches television and frequently leaves Matilda home alone in order to play bingo, and has no interest in her intelligent daughter. Even though Matilda shows a strong sign on being a child prodigy, but yet her family prefer her watching television when she would much rather prefer to be reading a book. Unsupervised Matilda makes her own way to the public library and under the watchful eye of the librarian, Miss Phelps reads every single childrens book in the library. Miss Phelps shows Matilda novels and writers such as Charles Dickens and abling her to borrow them out by giving her her first library card. When Matilda correctly answers a difficult mathematical problem her father accuses of cheating. She decides to get revenge on her parents through a series of pranks. Including putting superglue in her fathers hat, convincing her family there’s a ghost in the house (which is actually a pet bird borrowed from a friend) and switching her fathers hair tonic with her mothers peroxide dye, and the best thing is that her parents never suspect it’s her pulling these pranks.
