The Longford facility plays a key role in helping Abbott to meet the increasing global demand for diagnostic testing in areas such as infectious disease, cancer, thyroid and cardiovascular diseases and employs over 300 people The development of Flancare, Longford was carried out in two phases. The first included the construction of the 6000m2 warehouse facility, a 3-bay portal frame structure designed to carry full height racking and enclosed in single skin cladding. The second phase, completed three years after the first, doubled the original warehouse volume and included associated loading bays and dock levellers.
