34
34 © 2004, Cisco Systems, Inc. All rights reserved. IT Essentials V2.0 ReTraining Example, 98/XP booting: Do fresh install of Windows 98 before installing Windows XP. This will allow XP’s boot loader to notice and include Windows 98 as an OS in its boot menu For the above example, use FAT32 for both, so you can share files (Windows 98 cannot read NTFS) For Linux with XP, you could use either OS’s boot loader. The OS installed second will use its boot loader To run an app, it must be installed in the OS you are running IT Essentials I v.3 - Module 7: Windows XP 7.4.3 Dual boot Windows 9x, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, and Windows XP
