4 4 Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Explore Global Markets  Staging exhibitions in developed and emerging markets to promote products and brands of HKC’s enterprises  Assisting SMEs in seizing niche market opportunities, such as pet supplies and products for the elderly and babies, by participating in major international trade fairs  Organising trade or exploratory missions to emerging markets with great potential for HKC’s enterprises

6 6 Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Small Business Policy  Protects SME exporters against non-payment risks when they trade with overseas buyers on credit terms, and encourages SME exporters using the insurance policy as collateral for trade finance  SMEs exporters with annual turnover of less than HK$50 million ( US$6.41 million) are eligible  Offers the following advantages: flexible options for insurance coverage reduced policy costs less administrative bottleneck expedited claims payment

7 7 Trade and Industry Department SME Export Marketing Fund  Encourages SMEs expand their business through participation in eligible export promotion activities such as exhibitions, trade missions, placing advertisements on trade publications and eligible trade websites  Subsidising 50% of the approved expenses, subject to a maximum grant of HK$50,000 (US$6,400) per application. Cumulative grant ceiling for each SME at HK$200,000 (US$25,600)
