3. Spirit of flesh You live by the desires of your body - greed, lust, envy, anger, lazy, demanding, selfish. Spirit of God You live by the desires of the Spirit of God - generous, truthful, self-controlled, patient, peaceful, kind, responsible, selfless. Your body shows up your moods and feelings. But there is a deeper layer to our personality – your spirit. Your body also expresses your spirit. There are 2 kinds of “spirit” that we live by: 1.Label the photos – spirit of God or spirit of flesh 2.Explain the difference between a person ruled by spirit and a person ruled by flesh 3.Who do you admire? Are they a person of the Spirit or of the flesh? How can you tell? (if you can’t think of anyone, discuss Rihanna, Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates/ Steve Jobs, Justin Bieber, Andy Murray, Maloula, Gandhi) **Which is it better to be? Why?

4. Read the text. Draw the battle between Spirit of God, and Spirit of the Flesh – as between a plant and a weed. Show what sort of qualities “grow” on each side (“Fruits of the Spirit”) **Which do you find battling in you? ” What I say is this: let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature. For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants. But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control.
