16 State of Connecticut – Small Business Incubator Program (SBIP) CCAT administers the Small Business Incubation Grant Program sponsored by The State’s Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) with an estimated budget of $ 400,000 – $500,000 for 2010 The program provides grants up to $35,000 for each technology company that is housed within Connecticut’s incubator facilities and that have applied for the grant Purpose is to help defray the financial burden of maintaining and growing a start-up technology based business 16CONFIDENTIAL - University of Bridgeport - 3/20/10
