2 Your Task: 1. Read the outlines for each of the 7 schools of painting covered in the PowerPoint. Feel free to look online or in your textbook for more info. 2. For each school, pick one of the paintings provided and write a one paragraph discussion of it. This must include: a description of the piece, including its style, subject matter, the emotions it expresses, and any political or cultural significance you think it would have had for its original audience (3 sentences) an explanation of why the piece is a good example of its respective school. Your explanation should incorporate the information provided in the PowerPoint along with any other information you learn online. (2-3 sentences) Your own reaction to the piece. (1-2 sentences) 3. Answer one of the “contrast questions” at the end of the PowerPoint.
