3. 1JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Will the judgment come on time? Acts 17:31 “because he has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained, He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

4. 1JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT The judgment is at an appointed time that is still in the future in Paul’s day. See Acts 24:25

5. 2JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT What is the judgment day message? Rev. 14:6,7 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth -- to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people --

6. 2JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 7. saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of waters.

7. 2JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT The hour of God’s judgment begins in heaven and proceeds with its eternal decision while men are going about their ordinary pursuits here upon the earth. This angel of Rev. 14:6,7 preaching to all nations to fear God, because the hour of His judgment HAS come, is a symbol of a special message

8. 2JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT which God will send to the world in the closing age, just before the appearing of Christ at the last day as described in Revelation 14:14.

9. 3JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT What does Daniel say about the judgment? Dan. 7:9-11 Ancient of days I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;

10. 3JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 10 - A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.

11. 3JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 11 - I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.

12. 3JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT This prophecy of Daniel is in harmony with Rev 14:6,7 and shows that the judgment will be set in heaven, and will be carried forward during the closing era of this present age. This scripture also shows that certain books will be used. Records will be investigated during the judgment.

13. 3JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT There are two divisions to the work of judgment in the human courts: 1st, an investigative phase, when the evidence is examined before a judge and jury, which ends in a verdict. 2nd, the executive phase when the decision is executed. God’s judgment has the same two phases.

14. 4JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Who will be judged? Ecclesiastes 3:17 I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked. For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

15. 4JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT The wicked include the evil angels who rebelled against God. See Jude 6

16. 5JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Where does the judgment begin? 1 Peter 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

17. 5JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT The judgment will begin with the righteous who are the house of God. When Christ appears, every truly righteous person in the grave will rise from the dead with an immortal body, while the rest of the dead will not rise until 1,000 years later, Rev. 20:5.

18. 5JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT When Christ appears, every truly righteous person among the living will be changed instantly from mortality to immortality, to live forever, while the rest of the living people (the wicked) will be slain by the presence of the Lord, 2 Thess. 2:8

19. 5JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT This proves that before Christ appears at the last day, the decisions will have been made as to just who among the billions of dead are entitled to be raised to immortality at His coming, and just who among the living are entitled to immortality at His appearing.

20. 5JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT From this we can conclude that the judgment is past when Jesus appears at the Second Coming.

21. 6JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Was there an earthly type of judgment day? Lev. 23:26-30 - And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

22. 6JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be The Day of Atonement. It shall be an holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.

23. 6JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 28 – “And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29 – “For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people.

24. 6JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 30 – “And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. The Day of Atonement, on which the earthly sanctuary was cleansed, was a day of judgment of Israel as the professed people of God.

25. 7JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Is the judgment taking place now? Dan. 8:14 the sanctuary shall be cleansed And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.” So according to the type, the time set for the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, is from 1844 to the end of time.

26. 7JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT This is the time of the judgment of the professedly righteous. The cleansing of the sanctuary, beginning in 1844, as mentioned in Dan. 8:14 is the same as the hour of God’s judgment as set forth in Rev. 14:7.

27. 8JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT When are the dead judged? Rev. 11:18,19 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets, and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great,

28. 8JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT And should destroy those who destroy the earth. the temple of God was opened in heavenark 19 - Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

29. 8JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT The time for the dead to be judged began in 1844 when the ministration was opened in the second apartment of the heavenly temple where the ark of God’s testament is seen, and when the sanctuary is cleansed. There are four groupings for the work of God’s judgment.

30. 8JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 1st - The hour of His judgment during the closing era of human history, between 1844 and the end, when the cases of the professedly righteous will be decided. 2nd - The executive judgment of the righteous at the appearing of Christ, when these decisions of the judgment hour for immortality will be carried out.

31. 8JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 3rd - The great day of judgment during the 1,000 years that follow the second coming of Christ, when the amount of punishment due each of the wicked will be decided. 4th - The executive judgment of the wicked at the end of the 1,000 years when they appear before Christ’s judgment seat to receive their punishment.

32. 9JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT What will be used as the standard of law during the judgment? James 2:11,12 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

33. 9JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 12 - So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. - In the judgment, men will be judged by the Ten Commandments.

34. 10JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT Should the Ten Commandments be the rule in our lives today? Eccl. 12:13,14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.

35. 10JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT 14- For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil. - We should now square our lives by the Ten Commandments, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,

36. 10JD - THE GREAT DAY OF JUDGMENT - We should now square our lives by the Ten Commandments, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we may pass the judgment and have every sin of the past forgiven and blotted out so that we may have our names retained in the Book of Life. Then we shall be given the right to enter into that New Jerusalem. See Rev. 22:14
