3 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth. (Revelation 14:6)

4 The First Angel (Revelation 14:6-7) The first angel comes with the everlasting gospel, which is the message of Christianity, the message of Pentecost: We have a resurrected Savior! And His name is JESUS! He is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world! That message can never cease. It is the foundation of our faith. That is the gospel. Many are those who, like ministering angels, give the message of everlasting hope and salvation. The first angel comes with that message... But then speaks with a loud voice.

Then with a loud voice calls us over to Mount Sinai and lets us behold God’s seal of authority: Hence the dragon is enraged against those who: keep the Commandments of God; and have the testimony of Jesus. (Revelation 12:17)

14 Any man who is brought before a tribunal reviews the laws applicable to his case. In light of our judgment taking place before the tribunal of the universe, it is our duty to do the same. The first angel upholds God’s Seal when announcing God’s judgment and thus confirms the authenticity of the Ten Commandments. If you are ready to honor the Seventh-day Sabbath, you are ready to hear the message of the Second Angel. The Seventh-day Sabbath, expressed in the Fourth Commandment, bears the seal of God’s authority. It is the only day specifically blessed by God since before sin entered the world. It calls for not buying or selling, (Nehemiah 13:16-21) and is a “sign” between God and His people. (Ezekiel 20:12, 20) The “mark” of the beast prohibits “buying or selling” (Revelation 13:17) because, as we learned in Part III, it directly attacks the Fourth Commandment. Hence the mark of the beast is a counterfeit day of rest. Daniel foretold of such unauthorized change in God’s time and law. (Daniel 7:25) Click to continue… We are saved by grace and moved by love to Honor God’s will as reflected in His Law, just like Jesus did.
