6 6 Semester vs. Quarter Grades 1 st Quarter2 nd Quarter3 rd Quarter4 th Quarter 1 st Semester August - December 2 nd Semester January - May The semester grades are the only grades on your transcript, and will be the only grades that will go into the GPA. The quarter grades follow your progress throughout the year, and they are averaged to come up with your semester grade.
