3 Some examples MUSIC COLLECTION: -Recordings of Danish Music -Often unpublished; recordings of concerts -Recordings from DR -Genre: Jazz, classical music, popular music MANUSCRIPT COLLECTION -Interviews with members of the resistance movement and ’voluntary fighters’

4 Danish Folklore Archives -Examples of intangible culture: Music, songs, stories, etc -855 wax cylinders, 3,300 quarter inch reel- to-reel tapes, 78’ere, etc. -Primarily Danish, but also material collected by Danes abroad

6 Gatekeeper DOMS dia-prod-dom-02.kb.dk The audio files are stored here ready for dissemination The gatekeeper moves the files and records to the Audio OM catalog on the DOMS server. Workflow State Diagram Daily Production dia-prod-med-01.kb.dk The audio files are ingested in to Cumulus Import the yyyy-mm-dd.csv file in to Cumulus In Cumulus/Record view set ”Administration”: The files are marked as Publication_Catalog: ”Audio OM” and ”Færdigregistreret” QA (metadata) Digitization workflow Digitizing is started which generates a temporary audio file The daily work folder is created Prepare the recording equipment Archiving & content metadata from media is added to the Excel spreadsheet Open the Excel spreadsheet in NeoOffice Calc and save the day´s work as yyyy-mm-dd.csv The audio recorder and software best suited for the media is chosen and adjusted The start and end points of the temporary audio file are adjusted. Audio quality and digital audio peaks are checked Export & save the audio file Give unix command writeback.sh yyyy-mm-dd (writes metadata using BWF_Metaedit into broadcast wave files). The day´s folder with all files are sent to the Daily Production server QA (metadata) Supplementary metadata is entered
