2 By using a mobile phone In Australia they are called mobile phones. In some countries they are called cell phones.

3 By using landline telephones  These are telephones which are in your home. They can be called either landline or home phones.

4 By using the internet on either your computer or mobile phone

5 By using International Phone Cards to contact friends and family overseas.

6 Who supplies the services in Australia  In Australia private companies own mobile phone companies, landline/home phone companies and internet companies.  Some companies will provide all services. Others will just provide one service.

7 Important things you need to know  Sometimes you can get one bill for your mobile phone, your landline or internet service.  Some companies arrange for you to get internet, a mobile phone and/or a landline together. This is called “bundling.” You only get one bill but it may be for three different services.
