New Deal Programs National Industry Recovery Act (NIRA): government completely regulates business – NRA (National Recovery Administration) oversees it Works Progress Administration (WPA): puts Americans to work on public projects Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA): helps farmers by reducing production and raising prices Wagner Act: pro-Union law to provide workers with better wages and jobs Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC): pays people to plant trees and preserve the environment
