3 I LOVE IT!

4 To love school. To feel good about themselves. To get along with peers. To be able to problem solve. To have the skills to be successful in Kindergarten.

5 Talk positively about school in front of your child. Express your concerns to me. I am here for you and your child. Check backpack daily. I will often send home notes in your child’s folder. Have your child here at 7:30 a.m. if he/she is eating breakfast. Have your child here at 7:50 a.m. if he/she is eating at home. School is dismissed at 3:15. Please be on time. Ask your child to tell you about his/her day.

6 Our Daily Schedule Group Lesson- Early Literacy Work job – reinforces group lesson Centers – small group instruction Outside Play Snack Group Lesson – Math Closing activity We start promptly at 7:50.

7 What We Learn Letters Numbers Rhyme Print Concepts – All about books. Social Skills Science Develop Vocabulary

8 Through out the year, I will need parent volunteers to help in the classroom. If you are interested, please fill out a criminal background form and turn it into the office. I would love to have your help.

9 Please send a nutritious snack each day. Do not send any liquid other than water. Candy is not permitted. Examples of permitted snacks are pretzels, fruit, crackers, nuts, cereal, and half a sandwich.

10 The First Day of School For Parents Have a sense of humor. Don’t cry. Don’t feel guilty. Believe that leaving quickly is much better than hanging around.

11 First Day of School For Child Bring Backpack and snack. Wear Shoes That Run Fast! Wear Clothes That Wash. Bring Extra Set Of Clothes In Backpack. Bring Towel To Take Nap On Floor. Smile, You Are Going To Have Fun!
