Directions: Students will pick one of the following topics out of the bucket. Child Development: Find and cut out 5 pictures from magazines that illustrate the term child development. Child Care: Find and cut out 5 pictures from magazines that illustrate the term child care.

40 Ophthalmologist An eye doctor who can write prescriptions for medication and do eye surgeries

41 Optometrist An eye doctor who examines eyes and writes prescriptions for glasses

42 genetic counselor A person who works with couples who want to have children but have hereditary problems that might be passed along to a child

43 Pediatrician A doctor who provides medical care for children after they are born

44 Obstetrics The medical specialty area that cares for and treats women just before, during, and just after childbirth, often referred to as “OB” for short

45 Play therapist A person who works with children who have trouble playing with others

46 Animator A person who makes characters come alive in a film

47 Nurse/Midwife Somebody trained to help deliver babies and offer support and advice to pregnant women
