2 Directions for Project For this project you will choose a career, preferably of someone you know and have access to so they can answer part of your questions Last week you created a survey, after having taken 2, for the person you would like to interview for this project. NOW you will answer and create a hardcopy of a list of questions about the Career you have chosen from 1 of the 16 Career Clusters. Read all the way through this PowerPoint.

3 Document your findings Create a PowerPoint project answering the questions in the following lists. You may copy and paste the individual questions from this web quest to the word document and either type them in on the computer OR print the document and write in your answers. We will need to keep this document for further use but turn it at the end of each day.

6 Career Cluster Questions 1. What Career Cluster is your chosen Career in for this project? Find one if you haven’t already. 2. What is the formal title of your chosen Career? 3. Does this require further education beyond High School? 1. What does it require? 2. Find a college that offers this degree and list the name of the College and the school within the University system if specialized. 4. Find the Catalogue for the College and past the link onto the word document/

7 Career Questions--Education Once you have found the College and their catalogue; find the course requirements for your chosen job/field/degree. Copy and paste this course requirement into your word document. If you can’t get it to copy, bookmark the site. Then paste the link into your word document. How many total credit hours are required? What is your field concentration this means what type of course are the most required for what you’ve chosen.

Is the field growing or shrinking Is this field a low hire rate in Texas or elsewhere as well? 9. What does this career pay? Entry level or Top Salary 10. What other rewards would this career provide?

10 Career Questions 3 What does this career pay? Entry level or Top Salary What other rewards would this career provide? Will I have constant interaction with customers or just a few colleagues? Is there a standard uniform for this job? If yes what does it look like….a picture please.

11 Career Questions 4 11. What are the professional affiliations with this career? This means what organizations can you join where the members are in the same field as you. 12. Go Online and find 3-5 listings for this job. Note: It will be easiest if you can find an organization of the same kind of profession. 13. What are the 5 things needed for your Career Fair Arsenal?

12 Evaluation: Your project will be evaluated on the following criteria: Did you represent your cluster and career with thorough information? Are all questions for each career answered in thorough, complete sentences? Is your informational poster clear and concise? Did you accurately include all the information requested? Are drawings, diagrams and pictures used on your poster clear and used appropriately for the subject? Did you follow all instructions provided in class about how to create your informational poster?
