2 Introduction This is Team Healthy (A.K.A Andrew,Dylan, Vivienne, Cherie and Matthias) For the past 2 weeks we have been Researching about Mental Health and Our main Question is To what extent is Mental disorders a problem to the health of our society?

3 What are the main causes of mental diseases Causes are complex Genetics Drugs Life Experiences Disease Problems with the brain

4 What is the Rarest and Most Common Mental Disease in the World? And What does it do? Rarest: Exploding Head Syndrome Exploding head syndrome is a rare and relatively undocumented event in which the subject experiences a loud bang in their head similar to a bomb exploding, a gun going off, a clash of cymbals or any other form of loud, indecipherable noise that seems to originate from inside the head. Most Common: Depresion Depresion is such a commonly used term and such a frequently experienced mood that there probably would have been no great national concern.

5 Can Some Mental Diseases Spread? And if so Which ones can? Mental disorder is a psychological or behavioural pattern generally associated with a subject distress or disability that occurs in an individual and which is not part of normal development or culture. This can not be passed on through humans living. However it can be carried on through genes aka DNA. This can happen with any time of mental disorders such as depression it can be passed through genes

6 Is there a treatment for mental illnesses? Mental disorders are classified as a psychological condition which is disorganization of personality, mind, and emotions to seriously impair the normal psychological and often social functioning of the individual. Individuals diagnosed with mental disorders would be people who go through a lot of trouble in life and go through depression or they are unable to socialize with the society.

7 What are the Effects in the Australian society of mental illness? On average 20% of adult Australians experience a mental illness or disorder in one stage of their lives. · Three million Australians will experience a major depressive illness during their lifetime; · 5% of Australians experience anxiety so crippling that is affects every aspect of their lives; · Almost 1 in 100 Australians will experience schizophrenia during their lifetime; · About 3% of Australians will experience a psychotic illness such as schizophrenia during their

8 Conclusion and Answer to Main Question Mental Disease is a major problem in our society and 20% of Australians are infected. Around the world ranged from 26.4%of people in the United States to 8.2% of people in Italy. About half of the world population are infected by Mental illness
