3 Quadro Visual Computing Platform
Quadro as a brand is more than just a graphics card. It is an overall ecosystem designed to accelerate the toughest professional workflows. The heartbeat of Quadro is of course the GPU. NVIDIA spends over $1B a year on GPU development enabling the best performance and features in the industry. Some professional workflows require more than a GPU. Professionals in the Broadcast market need to be able to ingest multiple streams of video, composite rich graphics with the video and send the result out to air all in real time. The Digital Video Pipeline (or DVP) comprised of an SDI capture card, Quadro GPU and SDI output card was designed to accelerate this workflow. Many professionals work in collaborative environments. In the movie production houses teams of digital artists collaborate on the same projects. Its important that each of these artists are working at the same framerate. NVIDIA’s GSYNC card connects to a high end Quadro card configured in the worktation of the artist. It also connects to a house sync cable that ensures that all the artists on the projects are synchronized. In product design reviews, multiple professionals will gather to preview designs in facilities ranging from team rooms up to reality centers. To drive the high resolution displays or projectors that are used in these reviews requires multiple Quadro GPUs. Both NVIDIA QuadroPlex and GSYNC were designed to drive these multiple projectors or high resolution displays in a smooth, synchronized manner that enables faster time to ensight. 3D stereo is widely used by professionals to preview designs in 3D. NVIDIA just released 3D Vision Pro, and RF version of 3D Vision that is designed for professionals that work in collaborative environments. Application acceleration engines that enables developers to harvest more out of the GPU. This includes: Scenix – nvidia’s own scene graph Optix - that enables developers to build their own ray tracing engines Complex – which enables developers to build their applications to take advantage of and scale across multiple GPUs Close collaboration with ISV partners to certify and optimize applications on Quadro Wrapped around all this are Quadro Solution Architects and Enterprise Support and Sales who dig in to specific customer workflows and recommend solutions to accelerate those workflows CUDA C OpenCL Mosaic Technologies SLI Multi OS 12 / 30-bit Color iray PhysX OptiX Ray Tracing Mobile NVIDIA Quadro Plex NVIDIA SLI NVIDIA CUDA NVIDIA G-Sync NVIDIA HD SDI 3D Vision 3

Quadro 400 and 600 are the Entry segment offerings designed to accelerate volume CAD applications like AutoCAD Quadro 2000 is the offering in the mid-range accelerating applications like Solidworks. The Quadro 2000D is targeted for driving high resolution Medical Diagnostic Imaging Displays. In the High-End there is the Quadro 4000 and Quadro The target for these solutions are high end CAD applications like Catia, video editing applications like Adobe’s premier pro and applying digital effects in applications like Adobe’s After Effects. In the Ultra High-End Segment is the flagship Quadro Delivers the ultimate in both high performance visualization and compute. Targeted for workflows that require interacting with large and complex data sets. The Quadro 6000 is the standard in markets such as seismic processing, complex 4D MRI imaging, and high-end product design and styling. Complementing the Quadro line up is the Tesla ‘C’ series cards, which are compute only cards designed to be configured in a workstation chassis. The Tesla C card can be used as a companion card to Quadro to accelerate rendering or simulation of designs while enabling professionals to continue to interact with their design with Quadro.

6 Professional vs Consumer
Performance Quadro = 13x faster OpenGL Full DX Support = acceleration of Pro DX Apps Windowed quad-buffered OpenGL stereo = Pro app support ECC memory and fast double precision = greater accuracy Quadro’ s biggest competitive threat is not from AMD FirePro cards, but from consumer level cards. Its probably one of the biggest objections that we get from customers: why spend more on a Quadro for running my professional application, when I can buy a consumer card for much less? The answer is simple: Quadro is designed and built to accelerate professional visualization applications. Not only OpenGL based applications but on Pro DX applications (like Autocad and 3dsMax) as well. Quadro also enables features that are of high value to professionals, without which, is a non starter. These features include windowed quad-buffered OpenGL stereo, support for industry solutions like SDI for broadcast and Gsync. Quadro also offers ECC and fast double precision for greater accuracy of results…consumer cards do not.

7 ISV Certification Workstation and compute applications certified on Quadro Application Performance Drivers The leading Workstation and compute applications are certified on Quadro. NVIDIA has dedicated engineers optimizing Quadro to deliver the best professional application performance in the industry. 11 The Quadrofermi Family
Scalable Geometry Fast Double Precision ECC Memory CUDA Better Graphics Performance Better Simulation Performance Greater Reliability The Application Wave of the Future This past year marked a significant inflection point in the history of professional graphics, as NVIDIA introduced a new Quadro lineup based upon the Fermi Architecture. With Fermi, the GPU architecture was redesigned with the focus on accelerating professional visualization and compute applications. Designed in the Fermi Architecture are scalable geometry engines that enables geometry to be processed in parallel. This is probably the single most important architectural improvement., since many professional applications take advantage of faster geometry. The result is the ability to produce up to 4x the number of triangles over previous NVIDIA GPU architectures. The Fermi architecture also introduces ECC and fast double precision for greater accuracy and fidelity of results. The CUDA architecture enables developers to use standard programming languages to recompile their applications from the CPU to the GPU. Applications scale with the number of processing cores on the GPU. Generation to generation the number of processing cores has doubled, enabling much faster compute and simulation performance than prior generation architectures.
