CareConnect: – Is UCLA’s electronic health record (EHR) program – Integrates inpatient and outpatient clinical records with appointments, registration, billing, and other business-related functions – Is a single system that will integrate the functions of 65 current systems – Is based on software provided by Epic Systems Corp., which is modified to accommodate how we work at UCLA Health System 8/21/20152

Get going by registering at Epic System Corp.’s website and follow these steps: 1.Log onto userweb.epic.com 2.Follow instructions to register for access 3.Wait for account verification email 4.Access userweb 5.Click on Home 6.Click on Training 7.Click on eLearnings for a list of module s according to care setting and role A good starting point: – For ambulatory - the EpicCare Ambulatory AMB001 - a high-level office visit demonstration. Duration: 10 minutes – For inpatient - the EpicCare Inpatient INO001a - physician rounding overview; review a patient's current hospitalization. Duration: 10 min 12
