2 Ingredients (for 1 scoop serving) 0 1 gallon size ziploc bag 0 1 quart or sandwich size ziploc bag 0 ½ cup of milk (skim for healthiest version) 0 1 tablespoon of sugar 0 ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract 0 4 cups of ice 0 6 tablespoons of salt 0 Tape (masking tape works best) All of the ingredients above can be found at a local supermarket, Target, Walmart, and even most drugstores and Wawas/7Elevens.

3 Cost Per Serving 0 If one does not have any ziploc bags, they are sold for about 7 cents per bag. (cost per bag, out of a box) 0 Milk is around 3-4 dollars per gallon 0 For a 2 oz bottle of vanilla extract at Target: around 3 dollars 0 Morton salt at Target: 72cents 0 Bag of Ice: 1-2 dollars 0 Sugar: around 2 dollars The ingredients needed for bagged ice cream are mostly things around the house and some around the dorm room, making this snack extremely inexpensive. Estimated cost for class: $30 Per person: $1.50

4 Instructions 0 Take quart/sandwich size ziploc and add ½ cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 0 Seal and tap bag across top. 0 Take gallon size ziploc, add 4 cups of ice and six tablespoons of salt. 0 Place quart/sandwich size bag inside gallon size bag, seal top. 0 Begin shaking. 0 Once the ice cream begins to look thick (consistency is up to consumer) the ice cream is ready. 0 Unzip bag, remove smaller bag, cut top and enjoy!

5 Dorm Room Instructions 0 Take sandwich size bag and added 10 plastic spoons of sugar, a plastic spoon of vanilla extract, and a cup of milk. 0 Take gallon size bag and add six cups of ice (using plastic cup) 0 Seal, removing as much air as possible, place small bag inside big, and begin to shake. 0 Once texture is how you want it, enjoy!

6 Equipment/Challenges 0 ½ cup measuring cup (or Tupperware with measuring) 0 Tablespoon and teaspoon measuring device (or plastic ware) 0 Gloves/Towel if one has a tendency for cold hands quickly. 0 The only challenge that could be presented is extremely cold hands.
