3 Background Egypt Ratified the UNCRPD in 2008 The National Council for Disability’s Affairs was established in 2010 MCIT announced its ICT for PWDs strategy in 2012 PWDs was represented in the committee responsible for formulating the Egyptian constitutions in 2014 Around 14 million PWDs in Egypt
