5 If the wrong blood types are mixed what happens? Agglutination = clotting

6 Today you will test the “blood” of 4 people. Carefully follow directions to determine the blood type of each person.

7 Agglutination? Look for precipitated, solid specks If clumping occurs write a + in the well If not write a - in the well

14 3.Which person could donate safely to anyone? Ms. Brown She is O- so her RBCs have no antigens and would not cause any agglutination.

16 5.What complications can occur in a patient that receives the wrong blood type? Clotting can cause heart attack, stroke or tissue damage.
