Aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles or better known as Co-Mingled product is bailed at LJP Mankato and sold to Cedar Poly Plastic in Iowa and is sold on the market. 3. Recycling So what is our definition of recycling? We say we recycle 98% We accumulated a total of 1,215.56 tons of refuse in 2014. We recycled 28.74 tons of Co-Mingled product; pop cans, plastic and glass bottles. We recycled 74.84 tons of mixed paper which the University does receive a % of pay back on based on market value. We recycled 103.84 tons of cardboard in which the University does receive a % of pay back on based on market value. So total we recycled 207.42 tons. About 17% So how do we get the statement we recycle 98%? Waste to Energy.
