3 Dementia in Georgia Alzheimer’s Disease = Is it the only type of dementia? No. Is it the most common type? Yes. (60-80% of dementia diagnoses)  2015 – 130,000 Georgians with Alzheimer’s Disease  2025 – 160,000 Georgians (45% increase since 2000) Georgia’s Dementia Equation Nearly ½ Billion Caregivers + 563 Million Hours of Assistance = Financial Stress and Declining Health
