4 Intel ISEF Educator Academy Intel ® Education Programs High Level Goals What we want to accomplish in Ukraine Long Term National Goals (3-5 years) –Develop education policy for introduction of STEM methodology into curriculum and standards of STEM educational content –Make changes to legislation to empower Innovations for economic growth in Ukraine - The Draft of New Education Law ( IBL/STEM based learning tbc) - The Draft of Science & Technical Activity Law (K12 tbc) - Improve the collaboration b/w scientific & education establishments - Enable budgeting of joint K12 science projects –Integrate science & inquiry into K12 education through development of STEM focused curriculum/ courses. –Create National Science Museum for K12 Kids/ Parents 4

5 Intel ISEF Educator Academy Intel ® Education Programs High Level Goals What we want to accomplish in Ukraine Short term Regional/ School Level goals (1-2 years) –Identify problems needed to be solved: teaching practices, TPD, textbook content modernization, curriculum development –Develop the new curriculum based on IBL (Course development, train the trainer In-service TPD Institutions, integrate into Classroom activities) & pilot it in some subject arrears, some age groups – Implement scientific research method into teaching STEM subjects –Create the network of STEM centers –Implement an alternative approach to gifted St achievement assessment –Expand in Sts ## engaged into STEM through school collaboration/ School STEM centers –Consider more close collaboration b/w Intel ISEF & M.A.N.
