5 Achievements 1.Contract extensions at St Albans, Wokingham, West Devon, Durham, & South Kesteven. 2.Opened new centres: Batchwood Golf & Sports Centre, lifestyles@tiddenfoot, BP Bedfont & Bulmershe Leisure Centre 3.Examples of operational improvements: new customer journey & gym floors reconfigured, 29 pools all operating new lessons technology, group exercise investment & Les Mills partnership, 6000 children on activity camps, 5 cafés opened with Costa, over 100 apprenticeships recruited & 463 lifeguards trained in NPLQ. 4.Examples of outstanding community programmes: Vitality, Play Outreach, Nkstrollers, Inspire Dance, Grove Theatre Academy, Special Olympics, St Albans Half Marathon & Tour De Vale

6 Wokingham Borough Council – Case Study 1.WBC has 3 successful leisure centres operated by 1Life with nearly a million annual customer visits. Thus with facilities over-subscribed what more could We do? 2.Bulmershe Leisure Centre, which was a tired 1970’s building, was added to the leisure management contrcat what value could We add? 3.WBC also faces budget constraints and is trying to tackle health & wellbeing with a borough-wide strategy, so what could We contribute? 1Life and WBC agreed a £2.2 million investment package for all sites In 2 months we’ve implemented a total transformation 1Life operate Bulmershe LC for zero subsidy
