4. In the 50’s, Jeans were called Dungarees and were only worn to lounge around the house or play outside. They were never worn anywhere else.

5. Women were known for Dramatic Looks.

6. Saddle Shoes were one of the popular shoes to wear in the 50’s. These shoes are mainly what men wore in the 50s.

7. A woman was not considered properly dresses unless she had on gloves to complete her outfit. Women always had several pairs because it was so hard to keep them clean!

8. Scarves were used for multiple purposes. It could be worn as a belt, a halter top, or tied above your head.
