Students will be prepared for sport management career opportunities that include marketing, public relations, promotions, communications, human resources, facility and event management in a variety of public and private organizations. 4 Sporting Goods Business This course offers core business classes, including business math, accounting, computers, retail marketing management, sales and marketing There's also sporting goods industry specific classes with an introduction to the sporting goods industry, sports marketing, equipment product knowledge and sportswear merchandising. 6 Fitness and Health Promotion This program provides students with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and professionalism required for the planning, promoting and delivery of safe, effective fitness and health promotion programs. The leisure service industry has seen an increased demand for personal trainers, lifestyle modification programs, older adult fitness programs, nutrition and wellness programs, aerobic and aqua fit programs, preventive health programs. 8 Kinesiology Kinesiology is the study of human movement, and its goal is to discover strategies for human health and performance. Within the kin program there are two different degrees students can pursue. Students completing the Bachelor of Arts program explore sport and physical activity involvement from a wellness and participatory perspective, while students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program study these concepts from a human performance perspective.
