2 Why do we need a Compact? The Road Map Project Goal is to double the number of students in South King County and South Seattle who are on track to graduate from college or earn a career credential by 2020. We are committed to nothing less than closing the unacceptable achievement gaps for low-income students and children of color and increasing achievement for all students from cradle to college and career. 5 Boilerplate resolutions RESOLUTION NO. X A Resolution Honoring the Implementation of the Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness Compact WHEREAS, The Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness is committed to improving the transition for students from high school to college throughout South King County, Shoreline and Bellevue; WHEREAS, Members of the Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness approved the Coalition Compact on June 14, 2014. WHEREAS, the XX School District has identified postsecondary readiness and success as a priority in its strategic plan OR WHEREAS, the XX College has made investments in resources to ensure that students receive supports that promote a strong start in college as well as their persistence and completion; WHEREAS, the XX School District/College has made investments in resources to ensure that students are well prepared for their lives after completing high school; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of the XX School District/College approves the Commitments articulated in the Puget Sound Coalition for College and Career Readiness Compact and will support current and future efforts to ensure successful implementation. ADOPTED by the Board of XX School District/College at a regular meeting thereof on date, the following Board Members being present and voting:
