3 E-Reports  Presently The FAS AM090 and AM091 (monthly summary and detail statements) are sent via paper for 10,000 accounts to more than 1000 users every month. This translates to 17 boxes of 500 sheets of 8.5 x 14 green lined paper 12 + times a year ! (plus the time to sort, distribute)  To support UTS green initiatives and practices FAS Month End reports (AM090 & AM091) will only be available online via E- reports.  E-reports is an online repository of reports https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/FASreports. https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/FASreports  Everyone who currently receives paper reports will now receive them in the electronic format. – For Research accounts held in ledger 8, Principal Investigators will also be automatically given E-Report access to their respective Research Accounts. What are E-reports ?

4 Getting Connected to E-reports Here is how it is going to work:  Currently all operating FAS account holders receive an automated e-mail message advising that their new month-end reports are ready for viewing and will include a link to the web site: https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/FASreports. You will log in with your Mac ID and password to get access to reports that are produced in the Excel format. https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca/CIS/FASreports  Online reports will be available immediately following the processing of month-end.

8 For Research Accounts held in the 8 Ledger  Automatic access will be given to those who currently have on-screen access to FAS in addition to the Account Holder (typically the Principal Investigator)  E-Report access for new Research accounts will be initially granted for those individuals listed on the HRS Checklist/Account Request form filled out when opening a new research account. 11  For existing Research Accounts if there are additional individuals to whom access to E-Reports should be given, please have Account Holder fill in the E-Report Access permission form found at: http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/healthresearch/ad ministration_forms.html http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/healthresearch/ad ministration_forms.html

12  For current Research accounts if there are additional individuals to those who have been given automatic E-Report access, please have the Account Holder fill out the following E-Report permission form. This can be found at http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/healthresearch/ad ministration_forms.html:

13 Application for E-report Access  The database of Users who have access to E- Reports for Research Accounts only will be administered by the FHS Research Finance Office and not UTS. Forward any permission forms for E-Report Access on Research accounts to FHS Research Finance Office HSC 1B7 For non- research accounts, this function will remain with UTS.

14 Implementation Timetable  Introduction to e-Reports September 2010  Access given to all users – September to December 2010  ***DECEMBER 31, 2010****, paperless reporting !

15 End Users and Access  Where are they located and do they have access to the website  Do they have Mac ID ? – Individual must have a MAC ID before access to E-Reports can be given, however they do not need to be a MAC Employee to be given a MACID. Application for a MAC ID can be found at http://www.mcmaster.ca/uts/email_accounts/ma cid.html  Technical Support and Testing will been provided going forward
