2. Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies (CCSS) is one of the UK's leading independent sixth-form colleges, specialising in A-Level and GCSE courses for entry into the best British universities. CCSS is a co-educational college in Cambridge (situated 50 miles north of London) offering GCSE and A-level courses to 200 students (Age range of 15-20), supported by 98 staff. The college provides close academic supervision, a friendly, informal atmosphere and high levels of pastoral care. 4. Stowe School is a co-educational independent boarding school in Buckingham, in the heart of the English countryside. 8. The 2007-2008 academic year has been another successful year for CCSS students. The overall pass rate in the A-level examinations was an enviable 99.6 per cent, and 67 per cent of the pupils achieved A-C grades. Unlike many schools, CCSS is non-selective and therefore we are very proud of these results. Students come to us with different backgrounds and abilities, but all of them benefit from the individual approach and supportive environment at the college.
