Room for Progress At Healthtrax there are 3 particular levels of progression referred to as “Tiers”. Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Each Tier represents the level of a profession a personal trainer has. When trainers improve their education, or receive more prestigious certifications they progress from one tier to the next, with Tier 3 being the highest.

Tier 1 Tier 1 represents the most basic level of Trainers available at Healthtrax. These trainers are only required to have an ACE (CPT) Certification as well as a First Aid and CPR Certification. Work usually starts on the Circuit and progresses in addition to a few clients. Pay is hourly and based off of the amount of sales Can be part time or full time employees

Tier 2 Tier two is the second level of Personal Coaches at Healthtrax It signifies that a trainer has spent 2 years working as a tier 1 trainer, or that a trainer has received an ACE,ACSM or NASM (CPT) Certification. Trainers also falling in this category usually are full time employees These trainers are also paid hourly and receive commission earned from training sales. Trainers have also enhanced their personal skills to optimize their sales

Tier 3 (Executive Director of Personal Coaches) This is the highest level of Personal Training currently at healthtrax. This Tier signifies that an individual has completed a 4 year undergraduate degree. Received a CSCS, NASM, ACSM, or ACE certification. These particular trainers receive salary pay and also make commission off sales. Currently one tier 3 personal coach at healthtrax.

Psychology Behind Sales Paul stressed to us that the field of personal training was heavily dependent on one’s ability to make sales. To accomplish this goal a trainer needs to market his ability to help others achieve their fitness goals. This requires a trainer to have a deep level of commitment to the individual they are training. The more successful and comfortable a client feels with the trainer the more likely they will continue to receive training.
