8. MATCH RULES & REGULATIONS 1. MATCH DURATION 10 minutes each way 2. SQUAD We operate a flexible squad system. Teams may use as many players as they wish during the season, however only 9 players may be used on any one match night. Players may only play for ONE team in the league. However, if your team are short you have the right to use guest players from the league but this must be cleared by the oppositions Manager/Captain prior to kicking off your fixture. 3. PENALTIES A PENALTY SHALL BE AWARDED WHEN; The goalkeeper comes out of the area and, at the referees discretion, has gained an advantage in doing so. A defender enters his own area and by doing so gains an advantage. The penalty taker is allowed no more than two steps before striking the ball. 4. SLIDE TACKLES Slide tackles are forbidden in our leagues. A free kick is rewarded for a slide tackle. 5. THE GOALKEEPER/THE AREA After a goal is scored, the goalkeeper shall roll the ball out to restart play. The goalkeeper must not leave his area. If a team makes a change of goalkeeper during the match then the referee must be notified before the change is made. The referee shall use his discretion to determine whether a player has entered the area accidentally without gaining an advantage. The goalkeeper may not kick the ball under any circumstances except in the course of making a save. 6. BACKPASSES a. When an outfield player receives the ball from the goalkeeper, the ball MUST be touched by another player before being passed back to the goalkeeper. 7. THROW INS / KICK INS / ROLL INS Players can go back to the goalkeeper in these instance. 8. SUBSTITUTES Teams are allowed three substitutes who must stand behind the goal which is occupied by their goalkeeper or in the viewing area. Substitutions can be made as often as the team wishes. 9. FREE KICKS ALL free kicks are INDIRECT. Players must be two yards from the ball for free kicks. 10.POINTS The scoring system is 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. 11. DISCIPLINE SYSTEM A yellow card is a 2 minute sin bin. A red card is £20 fine. RULES & REGULATIONS
