Location British Columbia is 1 of 10 provinces of Canada. British Columbia is a western province of Canada. British Columbia is the 3 rd biggest province in Canada. Alberta is east of British Columbia.

Special facts Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia. The pacific dogwood is British Columbia’s flower. The Western Red Cedar is British Columbia’s tree. Seller's jay is British Columbia’s bird.

Population There are 4,000,000 people in British Columbia. Vancouver is the largest city in British Columbia. Many of British Columbia’s people come from all around the world.

History In 1871, British Columbia became a province of Canada In 1778, James Cook came to British Columbia

Capitol City : Victoria Victoria is south of the Gulf Islands. Victoria is built around a harbor. It is surrounded with flat land and full of small hills. In Victoria, there are about 305,000 people.

Resources Mining is the 3 rd largest industry in B.C. In British Columbia’s mines there are copper, coal, gold, silver, zinc, and other stuff. Coal and copper are sold in other countries and used in B.C.
