3 The Danish challenges The industry is experiencing yearly growth rates at 25-30 percent. The industry needs more than 150 new engineers in Denmark every year. Decreasing interest in engineering among young Danes and existing engineer students have limited knowledge about wind power. The industry in Denmark is faced with an fierce competition to recruit young engineers This led to new ideas to approach the students and new ways to show responsibility towards educating the next generation of engineers in the wind power industry.
