5 NEED TO KNOW… Cost: $95 for 5 choices – pay when applying Apply as a current student Marks are transmitted electronically (don’t request your transcript) No PIN OEN (Ontario Education Number - found on your report card or high school transcript) Any courses through Red Hill do NOT appear in current courses – complete by January 6

6 IMPORTANT DATES October: Applications become available for programs starting the following fall. February 1: Equal Consideration Date - apply to highly competitive programs by this date.Equal Consideration Date highly competitive programs February 1: Colleges may begin sending offers of admission. 7 SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES resume sign up on websites, create own profile www.studentawards.com www.scholarshipscanada.com www.schoolfinder.com www.OSCA.ca check college websites – financial aid office OSAP – Ontario Student Assistance Program (available in spring 2015)

8 SCHOLARSHIPS A scholarship is a financial reward or aid to a student Normally recognizing an achievement like marks, athletics, or community involvement Can be for financial need Amounts vary

9 BURSARIES An allotment of money granted to students who can demonstrate academic success but who also have financial needs Normally applied for after you are already attending a college or university Amounts vary
