5 Online Course Requests Setup – District – ParentVUE and StudentVUE Configuration (System>ParentVUE) – School – ParentVUE and StudentVUE School Configuration (System>ParentVUE) Use – By Parent and Student – By Counselors

6 Online Course Requests This setup is for all schools within the district. This setup is for all schools within the district. Update Graduation Monitoring on this tab to view Grad Reqs, GPAs and Class Rank. Update Graduation Monitoring on this tab to view Grad Reqs, GPAs and Class Rank.

8 Update the Course Requests tab within ParentVUE and StudentVUE Configuration. – Course Requests Details group box. Request School Year – Select the new school year from the drop down. Open/Close Request Window – Input the date range that will be available for all schools for course request input via PVUE/SVUE. Greeting – Greeting and directions for users. – Min Credit/Max Credit Count group box. Minimum Selection Type - Select one of the three options. – None – Min class count and min credit not available. – Course Request Count – Minimum class count must be completed. – Course Credit – Minimum credit must be completed. – *Note: At this time, the Maximum Requests field is mandatory.

Alternate Minimum Alternate Maximum Pre-req required to select course Request Type Registration Type Show Graduation Credit Grid – Update Password group box. Setting – Monitored – Requires Password – Unmonitored – No password is needed. – Update Property Override grid. Populate this grid to change the order of the columns.

10 Online Course Requests ParentVUE and StudentVUE School Configuration ParentVUE and StudentVUE School Configuration – OCR options can be overridden at the school level or disabled altogether. – School Configuration also allows for OCR times by Grade Level.

11 Online Course Requests NEW!!! NEW!!! Course Fees now display in Online Course Requests – Enable Fees on the Configuration screens. – Set up the columns in the Property Override field. – Assign Course Fees on the School Course screen – School Course Fees tab. (Course>School Course)

12 Online Course Requests To view the online course request (OCR) views to confirm accuracy: – StudentVUE (Student>StudentVUE) Click on Open StudentVUE as Student – ParentVUE (Parent>Parent – ParentVUE tab) Click on Open ParentVUE as Parent If the district or school select the option to monitor by requiring a password, the counselor will need to review the course requests and input the password for each student. – Allows for the validation of course requests early in the scheduling process. – Course requests can still be changed after this if needed. This validation is noted on the Schedule Request screen - Options tab. It can be queried to determine what students have completed the course request process. (Locked and Validated fields.)

13 Mass Assign Course Requests About – Mass Scheduling>Mass Assign Course Requests – Allows for quick assignment of groups of courses to students. – Create as many groups as needed. – Several Filter Options – Can run for selected groups of students also.

15 Addt’l Info about Wheels To setup wheels: 1.Within School Scheduling Options, select the option Using Wheels on the Course Request and Walk In Options. (Mass Scheduling>Setup) 2.Define the wheels within Wheel Definition. (Mass Scheduling>Setup) 1.Click Add at the top of the Wheel Definition window. 2.Name the wheel such as Elective Wheel. Click Save. 3.Use Chooser for the Course Grid to select the courses within the wheel. Click Save. 3.Create the sections to be used for scheduling the wheel. 1.Open the option set the wheel will be used. (Mass Scheduling>Schedule Control) 2.Click on the Open Schedule Section within the Quick Links box. 3.Confirm, create and make note of the schedule sections available for scheduling students the courses within the wheel. 4.Click on the Open Option Set Wheel found within the Quick Links box of the schedule option set in Schedule Control. (Mass Scheduling>Schedule Control) 1.Find the wheel definition created in step 2. 2.Click Add for the Option Grid and name the different options for scheduling the wheel. Click Save. 3.Click Show Detail for each option to see the courses defined in the wheel definition. 4.Click on the foreign find arrow in the Section ID column to select the section for the course the student would be scheduled. Click Save. To schedule students in the wheel: 1.Click on the Open Student Schedule found within the Quick Links box of the schedule option set in Schedule Control. 2.User Chooser to select the wheel definition. Click Save 3.During the scheduling process the student will be scheduled in one of the options created within the Option Set Wheel. Note that the course request will remain as the wheel definition.
