2.  Okay, Miss Bernard, you gave me a mnemonic device for the countries… how do I remember the capitals?  In Central America, it’s pretty easy because most of them have similar names to the country.  CountryCapital  GuatemalaGuatemala  El SalvadorSan Salvador (San is short for Santo/Saint)  PanamáPanamá (City)  NicaraguaManagua (they both have “agua” water in them…)

3.  The 2 that are different are: CountryCapital  HondurasTegucigalpa  Costa RicaSan José (2 words like the country)

4.  For the Caribbean, you have to remember them.  CountryCapital  Cu ba La Ha ba na (Havana in English)  República Domin icanaSanto Domin go (2 words like the country)  Puerto RicoSan Juan (2 words like the country)  The only one in Europe is:  EspañaMadrid
