2 MARKETING FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT ADVERTISING  Deals with advertising of product, introducing new products in market by various means and encourage customers to buy products  Advertising management is a complex process of employing various media to sell a product/service  Without an effective advertising management process in place, the media campaigns are not that fruitful and the whole marketing process goes for a toss

3 MARKETING FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT SALES MANAGEMENT  Deals with fixation of prices, actual transfer of products to the customer after fulfilling certain formalities and after sales services  Efforts put forth to attain a company’s sales objectives  Sales management can involve any of the following activities: 1)FORMULATION OF SALES 2)IMPLEMENTATION OF SALES STRATEGY 3)SALES FORCE MANAGEMENT

4 MARKETING FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT MARKET RESEARCH  It involves in collection of data related to product demand and performance by research and analysis of market  The process of assessing the viability of a new product or service through techniques such as surveys, product testing and focus groups  Market research allows a company to discover who their target market is and what these customers think about a product or service before it becomes available to the public

11 PERSONNEL/HUMAN RESOURCE FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT WAGE ADMINISTRATION  Employees’ personal budgets and plans are contingent upon getting paid regularly and if compensation is late, short or missing even a single time, morale is affected  Second element if salary and wage administration- monitoring and evaluating employees’ compensation  This includes evaluating the elements of each job in the organization and classifying it according to a number of different criteria
