Fluvanna County Focus Group Results 2012 Urgent Care –Definition: A place to go to in case of an emergency situation –Alternatives: rescue squads, people driving themselves and obtaining rides from family and friends Using these alternatives is a problem for newcomers to the county, for those with language barriers and those without resources (telephone, internet, etc) –Currently available resources are taxed to capacity The rescue squad is quick, but unable to respond to more than one call at a time The system is misused, many in the county go to the ER for regular healthcare
