2 Students will:  Write verbs in the future tense

3 Future Tense  A verb that tells that something is going to happen.  For example:  Derek will bring his new book about birds.  Derek and Gretchen will look for some nests.

4  To form the future tense of a verb, use the helping verb “will” or “shall” with the main verb.  Shall is often used with “I” or “we.”  Shall we invite Melissa?  She will probably come with us.
