5 Competitive Admissions Policy First time Freshmen Impaction –Reduction in local area high schools –Reduction of 40 high schools All applicants must apply during the initial filing period of October 1 st – November 30 th Take the ACT or SAT Reasoning Test preferably by the October 2008 test date, but no later than December 2008 All applicants must submit official ACT or SAT Reasoning test scores by January 2009

6 IMPACTED PROGRAMS College of Environmental Design:  Architecture  Supplemental criteria –Successful candidates have a minimum 3.6 GPA –Competitive GPA and SAT scores  Encourage students to identify an alternate major IMPACTED PROGRAMS

7 College of Engineering:  Civil Engineering  Supplemental Criteria –Competitive GPA and SAT scores –Minimum score of 550 SAT or 23 ACT required  Encourage students to identify an alternate major NEWLY IMPACTED PROGRAM
