2. The data sources for tourism statistics available in Azerbaijan are:
Statistical report form “1-tourism” (About activity of
travel agencies and tour-operators)- annual and semi-annual
Statistical report form “1-hotel” (About activity of
hotels and similar establishments)- annual and semi-annual
Statistical report form “1-border” (About number of
inbound and outbound travelers crossed state borders) annual and semi-annual

3. The data sources for tourism statistics available in Azerbaijan are:
Surveys held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan
SSC surveys among travelers crossing the borders of Azerbaijan
SSC survey of households (on domestic tourism)

4. Statistical report form ”№1-tourism” presented by tour operators and travel agencies contains information about:
Financial and economic indicators of tour-operators
and travel agencies;
Number of employees;
Number of served tourists traveling on package tours
within and out of the borders of the country;
Charges of tour-operators for the services including sold
package tours;
Costs and numbers of sold package tours;
Breakdown of served tourists by types of accommodation
and by modes of used transport.

5. The statistical report form “№1-Hotel” “on the activity of hotels and similar establishments” contains information about:
Number of accommodated persons (breakdown by
residents and non-residents);
Number of overnights (breakdown by residents and
non-residents);
Number of rooms and beds (once capacity);
Purposes of trip among accommodated visitors;
Financial and economic indicators of establishments;
The amount of money spent on rooms and other services provided by the hotels (breakdown by residents and non-residents) .

6. Statistical report form “№1-border” contains information about:
Number of inbound (by country of origin) and outbound travelers crossed the state borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Note! This statistical form is filled by The State Border Service in annual and semi-annual periodicity. This data are used as a general aggregate in processing of data obtained from survey of outbound and inbound travelers crossed the state borders.

7. Data obtained from the survey held at the borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Number of visitors (tourists and same-day visitors);
Gender and age of visitors;
Number of visitors by purpose of travel (business and
professional, leisure and recreation, visiting
friends and relatives, religion/pilgrimages, health and
medical care, shopping, transit, other tourism purposes);
Types of used accommodation and modes of transport;
Amount of tourism expenditures by categories
(accommodation, transport, catering, cultural
activities, purchase of package tours, rent of
vehicles, sport and recreation expenditures, other
consumption expenditures)

8. Data obtained from the household survey on domestic tourism
Number of visitors travelling with tourism purpose within the borders of the country;
Age and gender of visitors;
Number of visitors by purpose of travel;
Number of overnights by regions of Azerbaijan;
Types of accommodation establishments used by
visitors;
Amount of tourism expenditures by categories
(transport, accommodation, cultural activities, catering, sports and recreation, and other expenditures)
