2 We are a middle school, grades 7 and 8 housed
in a Secondary School: Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute Calvin Park is a school of approximately 400 students and consists of four distinct programs

6 Here at ATLAS, we: Offer a period of up to two years of focused support at the grade 7 & 8 level with an emphasis on: Assistive technology skill development Direct and remediated instruction Varied instruction to complement learning styles Strategy and self advocacy instruction Covering the regular Ontario curriculum

7 Here at ATLAS, we have 5 key Program Goals:
Language intervention Assistive technology skills Attitude towards learning Organizational skills Self-advocacy

Application Process Applying to Choices at Seven Programs at Calvin Park Public School

All applications to Choices at Seven Programs (Challenge, LEAP, ATLAS) are done online Applications will be received by a Choices Program Registrar at the Education Centre who will gather the information related to the application packages

11 Application Process Report cards for Limestone students will be accessed at the Education Centre Non-Limestone students will be required to deliver a copy of their most recent report card to the Education Centre to be included with the application package

12 ATLAS Workshop Opportunity for the ATLAS teachers to assess student’s suitability for this unique program Students only (no parents) Must bring a bag lunch Drop off at 9:00 Pick up at 2:00 - main doors of LCVI No gym or recess. Sorry!

13 The Day of the Workshop Parents are responsible for transportation arrangements to and from the workshop. The cafeteria and school telephone are NOT available.

14 Upon Acceptance Letter of acceptance, wait list and decline will be sent out from the Choices at Seven Registrar and the at the LDSB Education Centre

15 Acceptance The Registrar will be available to answer questions related to the application process at ext. 394

16 Transportation All transportation decisions are made by
Tri-Board Student Transportation Services. Telephone: Toll Free: Students must apply for busing and where routes and space exist, transportation may be provided. Students may miss a portion of the day due to the timing of transportation
