16 CCSS AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COMMON CORE: GRADE 2 4. CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.2.4 Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. a. Read grade-level text with purpose and understanding. b. Read grade-level text orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings. c. Use context to confirm or self-correct word recognition and understanding, rereading as necessary. DIFFERENTIATED TASKS Slightly Modified Students will independently read text stories that are selected at the personal reading level. Moderately Modified Students will state a word or point to a picture of an omitted word during shared reading. Students will read leveled text that is supported with picture symbols. Intensely Modified Students will state a sentence from a story through an active participation response (e.g., voice output device, eye gaze choice board).
